This workshop covers the end-to-end process of space product development, focusing on balancing requirements, cost, reliability, and innovation. It addresses challenges related to private and governmental stakeholders, market shifts, and strategic approaches to optimize product lifecycle, manufacturing, and project management in New Space.
This two-day workshop explores the unique challenges and opportunities of product design and strategic development within the dynamic space industry. Tailored for professionals working with ESA and globally, the program combines real-world insights with proven methodologies to navigate the full product lifecycle – from ideation to market launch. Participants will gain a deep understanding of user-centered design, technology-readiness levels (TRLs), and stakeholder alignment in highly regulated and innovation-driven environments.
Emphasis will be placed on strategy formulation under uncertainty, dual-use technologies, geopolitical challenges, and the interplay between commercial, scientific, and governmental demands. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, attendees will learn to balance vision with feasibility and turn ambitious concepts into viable products with impact.
